With locations in Waukee and Ankeny, Attivo provides resort-style amenities, spacious floor plans, and the freedom of month-to-month rental living.
Unlike continuing care retirement communities or assisted living facilities, Attivo is designed for independent, active adults who simply want a great apartment with exceptional amenities and neighbors in their same life stage. There's no meal plan, no healthcare services included — just quality apartment living with a 55+ community atmosphere.
For those downsizing in the Des Moines metro, Attivo offers an attractive entry point. Starting at just $1,325/month in some floor plans, residents enjoy spacious one and two-bedroom apartments (up to 1,389 sq ft) with full kitchens, in-unit washers and dryers, and private patios or balconies. The Waukee location features underground parking and four stories of modern construction built in 2019.
Should residents need additional support in the future, Attivo has partnered with Home Instead Senior Care to provide optional personal care, memory care, or hospice services — but this is entirely optional and arranged separately.

Unlike communities such as Edgewater or Wesley on Grand, Attivo does not include meals, healthcare services, or care levels. It's ideal for active, independent adults who want great amenities without the commitment of a CCRC or the services of assisted living.
